PSA 2005

The impetus and trend in many chemical, technological and engineering establishments is to organise inter-disciplinary and joint professional meetings and seminars.

The reasoning behind these worthy co-operations is because nowadays, so many scientific, research and industrial development projects require a multi-disciplinary knowledge of chemistry, engineering and technology.

Since the Particle Characterisation Interest Group [PCIG] of the Royal Society of Chemistry has many ramifications and diverse particle and powder technological applications encompassed in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biomedical, nuclear, mineral and food and household products industries, the PCIG committee has, once again, become involved in International Particle Characterisation conferences.

The success of the previous PSA, [www.psa2003.com], conference, which attracted in the region of 200 visitors and 25 world-wide exhibitors, has prompted the committee of PCIG to organise another conference and exhibition on particle characterisation and powder systems analysis.

The venue for the 9th PSA 2005 will be a modern, well-appointed hotel within walking distance of the centre of the Shakespearean town of Stratford on Avon. [Registration Forms link from the site menu]

As Chairman of the Particle Characterisation Interest Group [PCIG] of the Royal Society of Chemistry, may I thus extend an invitation to potential speakers to submit abstracts, in one or more of the thematic areas listed on the Papers page. In addition applications for poster presentations will be very welcome.

Further details may be obtained from the PCIG Hon Secretary, Mr Ron Buxton.
